CUGNA’. SEPTEMBER’S FLAVORS

Talking about Cugnà, typical chutney from Langhe and Monferrato, every Piedmontese family has its own recipe because this is the typical homemade food: this was the ancient way to preserve the fruits, and the ingredients were from the trees on any single farm.

Basic ingredients: vineyard peaches, figs, hazelnuts, apples, plums, pears, walnuts, the ordinary fruits in the vintage time. and Barbera or Dolcetto must.

Pairing: with Polenta maize, or boiled meat, fresh and semi seasoned cheese and also simply on the bread.
